Pay Scale - Rs.5200-20200 with GP of Rs.2800/-

Total Number of Vacancies - 229 Vacancies

Gen - 78 Vacancies (Open Market-75, EXM-03)

SC - 46 Vacancies (Open Market-46)

ST - 30 Vacancies (Open Market-30)

OBC - 75 Vacancies (Open Market-74, EXM-01)

Age Limit - 18 to 25 years as on 01.03.2016

Educational Qualification - 10+2 (12th Pass) or equivalent qualification from a Central or State Govt recognized Board/ University

Skill Test (On computer):

Dictation - 10 minutes @ 80 words per minute

Transcription time - 50 minutes in English or 65 minutes in Hindi on computer

Physical Standards

Height:

All Categories (except ST Category): Male-165 Cms, Female-155 Cms

Garwalies, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras etc categories - Male-162.5 Cms, Female-150 Cms

ST Category: Male-162.5 Cms, Female-150 Cms

Chest (Only for Male candidates):

Gen/SC/OBC Category: Unexpanded-77 Cms, Expanded-82 Cms

ST Category: Unexpanded-76 Cms, Expanded-81 Cms

Weight: Proportionate to height and age

Selection and Recruitment Process - The selection process will consist of two phases as:

Phase 1 - Written examination

Phase 2 - Physical Standard Test (PST), Scrutiny/ checking of documents, Skill test and Medical examination

Written Exam Pattern

Candidates who qualify or pass the Phase-1 (Written exam) will be allowed to appear in Phase-2. Written Exam paper will be of 225 Marks of 2.30 hours duration consist of two parts as:

Part 1 (Objective type) - 200 Marks (Qualifying marks will be 80 Marks for Gen/OBC category and 70 Marks for SC/ST category out of 200 Marks)

Section A - Hindi Language or English Language (50 Marks)

Section B - General Intelligence (50 Marks)

Section C - Numerical Aptitude (50 Marks)

Section D - Clerical Aptitude (50 Marks)

Part 2 (Descriptive type) - 25 Marks (Essay writing-15 Marks, Letter writing-10 Marks)

For selection, category wise merit list will be prepared separately on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in Part-I and Part-II i.e. out of total 225 Marks.

Examination Fee

General/ OBC Category - Rs.100/-

The requisite fee can be remitted through State Bank of India Challan or Online payment through Net Banking/Credit and Debit cards of any Bank. SC/ST, Female and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from payment of examination fee.

How to Apply

Eligible and interested candidates may submit their applications for CRPF ASI Steno Recruitment 2016 Online through the website www.crpf.nic.in or www.crpfindia.com from 01 February 2016 to 01 March 2016. Before applying online, keep ready scanned image of their latest photograph and signature, for uploading while submitting the online application. After submitting the online application form, take printout of the system generated application form. The printout of online application form or any other document is not required to send to any office of CRPF.
