Windows 7 users used to love the Windows gadgets on desktops. These tiny gadgets helped users keep tiny utility gadgets such as clocks, weather gadgets, CPU monitor, calender etc. Gadgets are no longer supported from Windows 8 and also not supported in Windows 10. Windows Live Writer does not connect to Blogger anymore

Many Windows Live Writer users blogging to Blogger faced logging issues. I also tested Windows Live Writer 2012 both on Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 and confirmed that it does not connect to Blogger any more. Apparently, the reason is because Google has changed it�s old authentication system (Read here). Google Blogger now uses the more modern OAuth 2.

Windows Live Writer (WLW) is now Open Sourced and the new project is called �Open Live Writer (OLW)". It was officially announced on December 9, 2015 on the .NET foundation website (Windows Live Writer is now Open Sourced � Open Live Writer).

How to remove the Windows.old folder after Windows upgrade?

Suppose we have upgrade Windows to a newer Windows version. Then, there will be a folder under C drive called "Windows.old". Do we need to keep the Windows.old folder? What is it's purpose? Can we delete or remove the Windows.old folder? How to remove the Windows.old folder after Windows upgrade?
