Educational Qualification
Assistant Sub Inspector (Radio Mechanic)
Intermediate (12th pass) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board or Institution. Or
10th pass with 3 years Diploma in Radio and TV Technology/ Electronics/ Telecommunication/ Computer/ Electrical or Mechanical Engineering/ Domestic Appliances from any recognized Institution.
Head Constable (Radio Operator)
Intermediate (12th pass) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board or Institution. Or
10th pass with 02 years ITI Certificate in Radio and TV or Electronics from any recognized Institution.
Age Limit - 18 to 25 years as on 15.07.2016

Selection Procedure and Exam Pattern
BSF ASI (RM) & HC (RO) Recruitment selection process will consist of two phases as:
Phase 1 - Written Examination
(a) OMR Based Screening Test (Objective type) - 100 Questions of 200 Marks (Physics, Maths, Chemistry and English & GK, each part of 50 Marks)
(Qualifying marks will be 38% for Gen/OBC category and 33% for SC/ST category out of 200 Marks)
(b) Descriptive Test - Candidates who qualifies OMR based written test will be called for descriptive test.
ASI/RM - 200 Marks (12th/Diploma level Physics, Chemistry, Maths & Electronics)
HC/RO - 100 Marks Descriptive test (12th level Physics, Chemistry & English) and 100 Marks Dictation Test (minimum 100 words in English writing)
Phase 2 - Physical Standard and Physical Efficiency Test
(a) Physical Standard/ Measurement - Height, Chest etc.
(b) Physical Efficiency Test -
Race - Male: 1.6 Km in 6.5 minutes, Female: 800 Meters in 04 Minutes
Long Jump - Male: 3.65 Meters in 03 chances, Female: 09 Feet in 03 chances
For selection, category wise merit list will be prepared separately on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in Descriptive Test out of 200 Marks.
Examination Fee
Candidates are required to pay Rs.50/- as examination fee in the form of a Bank Draft in favour of the concerned Inspector General/ DIG/ Comdt payable at respective SBI. SC/ST, Departmental (BSF serving personnel) and female candidates are exempted from payment of exam fee.

Eligible and interested candidates may submit their applications for BSF ASI (RM) & HC (RO) Recruitment 2016 Online through the website www.bsf.nic.in or rectt.bsf.gov.in from 16 June 2016 to 15 July 2016. After submitting the online application form, send print out of online application form along with Original Bank Draft to the concerned recruitment center so as to reach on or before last date i.e. within 15 days from last date of online application form.
Envelope containing application must be superscribed in bold letters as �APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ASI/RM or HC/RO�
