Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has initiated recruitment process for selection of Constable Driver and Constable Tradesman. SSB Constable Recruitment process will consist of Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Documentation, Trade test, Written exam and Medical examination. Tradesman Selection Procedure
Candidates whose application forms are found to be in order will be issued admit card. After bio-metric examination, photograph and signature candidates will have to undergo different stages of recruitment process as follows:
1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Male - 4.8 Kms Race in 24minutes
Female - 2.4 Kms Race in 18 minutes
PET will be only qualifying in nature and it will not carry any marks.
2. Physical Standard Test (PST)
Candidates qualified in PET will have to undergo Physical Standard Test. Physical Standards (Height, Chest & Weight) for Constable (Driver) and Constable (Tradesman) will be measured as follows:
Constable (Driver):
Gen/ SC/ OBC - Height: 170 Cms, Chest: 80-85 Cms
Garhwali, Kumaoni, Gorkha, Dogra, Maratha etc. category - Height: 165 Cms, Chest: 78-83 Cms
ST - Height: 162.5 Cms, Chest: 76-81 Cms
Weight - Proportionate to height and age
Constable (Tradesman):
Gen/ SC/ OBC - Height (Male): 167.5 Cms, Height (Female): 157 Cms
Garhwali, Kumaoni, Gorkha, Dogra, Maratha etc. category - Height (Male): 165 Cms, Height (Female): 155 Cms
ST - Height (Male): 162.5 Cms, Height (Female): 150 Cms
Chest (Only for Male candidates) - Gen/ SC/ OBC: 78 Cms & ST: 76 Cms (min expansion 05 Cms)
Weight - Proportionate to height and age
3. Documentation
Candidate qualified in PET and PST will have to go through documentation (checking of documents). In this stage candidates will have to produce all original documents/ certificates as proof of details given in the application form.
4. Written Examination and Trade test
Candidates qualified in the PST, PET and Documentation will be allowed to appear in the Written exam and Trade test.
Written Exam Syllabus/ Pattern - SSB Constable Written exam will be of 02 hours duration and will consist of 100 objective type questions of total 100 marks (01 mark each). SSB CT question paper will comprise of questions on General Knowledge, Numerical Ability, General English & Hindi and General Reasoning. Minimum qualifying marks for all posts (Driver, Cook, Washerman, Barber, Safaiwala and Water Carrier) will be as follows:
General category - 50% Marks
SC/ ST/ OBC category - 45% Marks
Trade Test
After the Written exam, candidates will have to undergo the Trade test as filled in the application form. SSB Constable Trade test will be of 50 marks and the minimum qualifying marks for all candidates including SC/ST/OBC category will be 60%.
5. Medical Examination
Candidates will be called for Detailed Medical Examination on the basis of merit of written examination and trade test. The candidates will be medically examined to assess their physical & medical fitness as prescribed in the Medical Standards.
Final Selection - Trade and category wise final selection list will be prepared in order of merit (marks obtained in written exam and trade test) after completion of Review Medical Examination.
