The Government of Andhra Pradesh has announced the notification in the field of Police services. The State Level Police Recruitment Board, Andhra Pradesh is inviting the applications for various posts in the police departments. The candidates who are desired for the posts are requested to check the notification from the official web site and go through it clearly before applying through online process.
Andhra Pradesh police service is completely under the control of State government, Department of Home affairs. This department maintains the law and order all over the state. DGP (Director General of Police) is the head of this department. So the AP Police is giving an opportunity for the young women/ men to work with them by releasing the 4,548 vacancies of the posts Constables and Warders. The other details are shown below.

Eligibility Criteria:
Educational qualification: The people should have passed Intermediate Exam recognized by the State government. If the person belongs to the SC/ST category, then He/she should pass SSC or its equivalent exam recognized by the State government and also they should appear and study the Intermediate exam both 1st and 2nd year.
Age limit: For post code No. 21 and 22:
� The persons who is still working as Home Guards for at least 2 years at the time of release of notification and are Local to Andhra state and working in AP police department should be in between the age of 18 years to 30 years i.e. they should born between 2nd July 1986 to 1st July 1994.
� For other people who are not related to the department and are new, should be of minimum age 18 years to maximum age 22 years. (I.e. born between 2ndJuly 1994 to 1st July 1998). According to the rules of the government age relaxation is there for the reserved categories, check the notification for clear details.
For post code 53& 54:
� The applicants should be of age 18 years to 30 years. (I.e. born in between 2ndJuly, 1986 to 1st July, 1998). Age relaxation is given for the reserved categories.
Andhra Pradesh Police Recruitment 2016 Pay Scale | Salary:
� The salary for post codes 21, 22: Rs. 16,400 � Rs. 49,870/-
� For post codes 53, 54: Rs. 16, 400 � Rs. 49,870/-
Andhra Pradesh Police Recruitment 2016 Selection Process: The persons are selected through preliminary written test, PMT (Physical Measurements Test), PET (Physical Efficiency Test) and final written exam.
Application fee: The people belong to SC/ST should pay Rs. 150/- and OC/BC should pay Rs. 300/- , the application fee should be paid in any of the Mee Seva (e-Seva) / AP Online / TS Online centers, and amount should be paid in favor of Chairman, State level Police Recruitment Board, Andhra Pradesh.

Men:
� Height: should not be less than 167.6 cm
� Chest: should not be less than 86.3 cm round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 5 cm.
Women:
� Height: should not be less than 152.5 cm
� Weight: should not be less than 40 kg
For post code 53:
Men:
� Height: should not be less than 168 cm
� Chest: should not be less than 87 cm round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 5 cm
Women:
� Height: should not be below 153 cm
� Weight: should not be below 45.5 kg
Andhra Pradesh Police Exam Medical Standards 2016:
� The eye sight visual standard for the post should be
(i) Distant vision � 6/6 (right eye) and 6/6 (left eye)
(ii) Near vision � 0/5 (right eye) and 0/5 (left eye)

� Both eyes should have full field of vision.
� Color blindness, squint or any morbid condition of eyes or eye lids will be considered as disqualified.
� Should have sound health without any defect in the body
� If the person has defects, he/she will not be recruited.
