SSB has started recruitment process for filling up the vacant posts of Head Constable, Assistant Sub Inspector & Sub Inspector in Communication (Telecom) Cadre. Head Constable ASI SI Recruitment Procedure

Selection Procedure (Stage-wise)
1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Candidates whose application forms are found to be in order will be issued Admit Card to report at the recruitment venue. After identification with Admit Card candidates will be allowed for the recruitment tests. PET will be conducted in the first stage for all the posts (HC, ASI & SI) which consist of 3.2 Kms race in 14 minutes. PET will be only qualifying in nature and it will not carry any marks.
2. Physical Standard Test (PST)
Candidates qualified in the PET will have to undergo PST (Height, Chest & Weight measurement) as given category wise below.
Garhwali, Kumaoni, Gorkha, Dogra & Maratha and candidates belonging to Sikkim, Leh & Ladakh, Kashmir Valley, North-Eastern State (Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Assam etc) and Himachal Pradesh - Height: 165 Cms, Chest: 78-83 Cms
ST/ Adivasis - Height: 162.5 Cms, Chest: 76-81 Cms
All other Candidates - Height: 170 Cms, Chest: 80-85 Cms
Weight - Proportionate to height
3. Documentation
Candidates qualified in the PST will undergo the Documentation process. Candidates will have to produce all original documents/ certificates in proof of details as filled in the application form.
4. Written Exam
Candidates qualified in the PST, PET and Documentation will be allowed to appear in the Written Exam.
Exam Syllabus/ Pattern - SSB Communication Written exam will consist of two papers such as Paper-1 and Paper-2 (Technical Exam) of 02 hours duration each.
Paper 1 - The question paper will be of total 100 Marks and will consist of 100 objective type questions based on General Knowledge, Numerical Ability, General Reasoning, General English & Hindi. To qualify in Paper-1, it�s required to score minimum 50% Marks for Gen/ Ex-Serviceman candidates and 45% Marks for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates.
Paper 2 (Technical Written Examination) - The question paper will consist of 100 objective type questions based on technical subject. To qualify in Paper-2, it�s required to score minimum 50% Marks for Gen/ Ex-Servicemen candidates and 45% Marks for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates.
5. Medical Examination
Candidates qualified in the written exam will be called for Detailed Medical examination in order of merit. Candidates will be medically examined to assess their physical & medical fitness as prescribed in the eligibility conditions.
Final Selection - After completion of Review Medical Examination, post and category wise final merit lists will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Paper 2 (Technical Written Examination).
