The West Bengal Board of Primary Education has started functioning form 2^nd July 1990.Its establishment is unique in the whole country in respect of supervision, development management and the control of Primary Education in the State. All these four segments of education of the State came in to existence. The West Bengal Board of Primary Education since its establishment in 1990 has undertook all the activities, and by 1993-1994 Guide-books in different subject was developed through various workshops involving all the teachers and experts along the line followed by SCERT.

Recently the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) released notification for Primary Teacher Recruitment to fill in 42449 vacancies. Posting Location: In all the districts of Government Schools in West Bengal
Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit: The people that are applying should be of age between 18 years to 40 years. Relaxation of age is given according to rules of Government,

Educational Qualification:

People who are interested to apply WBBPE should pass Higher Secondary under the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and also should complete a two year Diploma in Elementary Education or Graduation and a two year Diploma in Elementary Education.

Note:  People should qualify the West Bengal Teacher Qualified Test conducted in the year 2014.

Selection Process for WBBPE 2016 Teacher Recruitment:

The West Bengal Board of Primary Education will check the persons 12th marks list; score obtained in TET, Training, and Extra Curricular activities TET Score and candidate�s performance in the Viva-Voice Test.

Scale of Pay for WBBPE Teacher Recruitment 2016:

Selected people will be given salary range between Rs.5400-25200/-

Fee details:

People belonging to Unreserved Category & OBC fee is Rs.200/-

People belonging to SC/ST/PH the fee is Rs.50/-
