Indian Air Force (IAF) invited applications for Selection Test to join as Airmen in Group X Technical Trades or Group Y Non-Technical (Except Automobile Technician, GTI, IAF Police, IAF Security and Musician) Trades or in both Groups X & Y. The Selection Test will be held in January - February 2017. All eligible unmarried Male Indian Citizens (citizens of Nepal are also eligible) may apply online for either Group X or Group Y or both Groups X & Y through www.airmenselection.gov.in. IAF Recruitment Airmen Selection Exam 2017
Age Limit - Candidates should be born between 07 July 1997 and 20 December 2000 (both days inclusive). Upper age limit on date of enrolment is 21 years.
Educational Qualification
Group X (Technical) Trades - Intermediate/ 12th/ Equivalent examination pass with Maths, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. Or
03 years Diploma Course in Engineering Branches (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology, Information Technology etc) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
Group Y (Non-Technical) Trades - Intermediate/ 12th/ Equivalent examination pass in any stream/subjects (with PCB and English for Medical Assistant trade) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
Group X & Y (Technical and Non-Technical) - Intermediate/ 12th/ Equivalent examination pass with Maths, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
Physical Standards
Height - Minimum 152.5 Cms
Chest - Minimum 5 Cms expansion
Weight - Proportionate to height and age
Selection Procedure
The selection process will consist of Verification of eligibility, Written test, Adaptability Test-1, PFT, Adaptability Test-2 & Medical Examination. For Selection, All India Select List (AISL) will be prepared and the inclusion of candidates in the AISL depends upon their performance in the exam.
Examination Centres - Ambala, New Delhi, Kanpur, Barrackpore (Kolkata), Jodhpur, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Tambaram (Chennai), Bhubaneswar, Bihta (Patna), Guwahati, Secunderabad, Kochi and Bhopal.
How to Apply
Eligible and desirous candidates may apply online for IAF Airmen Selection Test Jan/Feb 2017 through the website www.airmenselection.gov.in from 15 September to 29 September 2016. You can apply for either Group X or Group Y or Group X & Y in a single online application. After submitting the application form online, send colour printout of online application form along with all necessary documents (see official advt) by Ordinary Post to Central Airmen Selection Board (CASB) so as to reach on or before last date. Separate the address & Bar Code portion from the printout of online application and paste it on front side of a white envelope to send by Ordinary Post.
