Selection and Recruitment Procedure
After the application submission process candidates will be called for AFCAT and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) on 26 February 2017 at one of the examination centres. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of AFCAT/EKT will be called for Stage-1, Stage-2 & Flying Branch tests at one of the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs) at Dehradun, Mysore, Gandhinagar, Varanasi or Kancharapara. Thereafter, Medical examination will be conducted at AFCME, New Delhi or IAM Bengaluru. Candidates who qualify in all respects will be shortlisted by the final merit list depending upon available vacancies for training under branches/ sub-branches.

Important Instructions
1. The Selection list declared by IAF is as per the Roll Number and does not indicate the merit position. Candidates whose names appear in AISLs as Main list or Wait list are NOT (R) NOT guaranteed enrolment.
2. Enrolment will be strictly as per the merit position in AISL based on:
(a) Availability of vacancies
(b) Medical fitness
(c) Not exceeding the upper age limit for enrolment i.e. 21 years as on date of enrolment (except for Education Instructors and Musician trades)
(d) Validity period of AISL
3. The candidature of the candidates shall automatically get cancelled if they do not meet the above mentioned conditions, as on date of enrolment.

Pay/ Salary -Rs.11400/- during training and Rs.20500-38720 after completion of training
Age Limit - Candidates should be born between 01 July 1995 and 28 June 1999 (both days inclusive). Upper age limit on date of enrolment is 21 years.
Educational Qualification - 12th pass or equivalent from a recognized Central/ State Board of Education.Candidate should have represented State/ School in the National/ International Games/ Sports.

Selection and Recruitment Process
The selection process will consist of verification of eligibility, written test, adaptability tests, PFT and medical examination. For Selection, All India Select List (AISL) will be prepared and the inclusion of candidates in the AISL depends upon their performance in the recruitment rally.
