Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti is an autonomous organisation which comes under the Ministry of the Human Resource Development of Education Department, Government of India. The Samiti functions through an Executive committee under the Chairmanship of Honourable Minister of HRD. It is responsible for all affairs including releasing of funds to the Organisation and has the authority to exercise all powers of Samiti. Recently Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti released recruitment notification for the posts of Assistant Commissioner, Principal, PGTs, TGTs, Miscellaneous Teachers and Third Language Teachers for the year 2016.Candidates who are willing to apply for the posts are intimated to read the recruitment notification clearly and then start for applying. Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification: Post wise qualification is given below
1. Assistant Commissioner: Persons who are applying for this post should have Master�s Degree in Commerce/Human/Science from a recognised University/Institution.
2. Principal: Persons who are applying for this post should have
(a) Master�s Degree from a recognised University with at least 50% of marks.
(b) B.Ed. or equivalent teaching Degree.
3. Post Graduate Teachers (PGT):Persons who are applying for this particular post should have
(a) Two Year Integrated Post Graduate M.Sc course from Regional college of Education of NCERT in the respective subject with at least 50% of aggregate marks
4. Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT):Persons who are applying for this particular post should have
(a) Four years integrated degree course of Regional College of Education with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject with aggregate of marks.
(b) B.Ed. equivalent from a recognised University.
5. Miscellaneous Categories:Persons who are applying for this particular post should have a degree from a recognised University/Institution according to the particular post that they are applying.
6. Third Language Teacher (TGT):Persons who are applying for this particular post should have
(a) Four years integrated degree course of Regional College of Education with at least 50% of marks in the concerned subject as well as with aggregate marks.
(b) Should pass Central Eligibility Test conducted by CBSE.
Age Limit:
The age limit for the particular post is given below \
1. Assistant Commissioner: Upper Age Limit is up to 45 years
2. Principal: Age Limit should be in between 35-45 years
3. Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs): Upper Age Limit is up to 40 years
4. Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs): Upper Age Limit is up to 35 years
5. Miscellaneous Teachers: Upper Age Limit is up to 35 years
6. Third Language Teacher (TGT): Upper Age Limit is up to 35 years.
Age Relaxation: for all the categories are given below.
(a) SC/ST Category: 05 years
(b) OBC Category: 03 years
