Air Force Officers Selection Exam - AFCAT 01/2017
Pay Scale - Rs 15600-39100 with other allowances
Age Limit (As on 01.01.2018)
Flying Branch - 20 to 24 years i.e. candidate should be born between 02 Jan 1994 and 01 Jan 1998 (both days inclusive)
Ground Duty (Technical/ Non technical) Branch - 20 to 26 years i.e. candidate should be born between 02 Jan 1992 and 01 Jan 1998 (both days inclusive)
Educational Qualification
Flying Branch - Graduate in any discipline with minimum 60% Marks and have passed Maths & Physics at 10+2 level or BE/ B.Tech degree (Four year course)
Ground Duty (Technical) Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics/Mechanical) - Passed 10+2 with minimum 60% Marks each in Physics & Mathematics and a minimum of 04 years Degree Graduation/ Integrated Post-Graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology
Ground Duty (Non-technical) Branch
Administration and Logistics - Graduate Degree in any discipline with 60% Marks or equivalent qualification
Accounts - B.Com Degree with minimum 60% Marks or equivalent qualification
Education - MBA/ MCA or MA/ M.Sc Degree in English/ Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Statistics/ International relations/ International studies/ Defence studies/ Psychology/ Computer Science/ IT/ Management/ Mass Communication/ Journalism/ Public Relation with 50% Marks in aggregate and 60% Marks in Graduation
Selection and Recruitment Procedure
After the application submission process candidates will be called for AFCAT and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) on 26 February 2017 at one of the examination centres. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of AFCAT/EKT will be called for Stage-1, Stage-2 & Flying Branch tests at one of the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs) at Dehradun, Mysore, Gandhinagar, Varanasi or Kancharapara. Thereafter, Medical examination will be conducted at AFCME, New Delhi or IAM Bengaluru. Candidates who qualify in all respects will be shortlisted by the final merit list depending upon available vacancies for training under branches/ sub-branches.

How to Apply
Eligible and desirous candidates may apply online for Indian Air Force Officers Selection Test 01/ 2017 through the website www.careerairforce.nic.in from 03 December to 29 December 2016. Before filling online form, keep ready relevant documents details and scanned image of passport size colour photograph (between 10 kb - 50 kb) for submitting the online application. In the registration process you have to note down the system generated Registration number for future correspondence. It�s required to read the advertisement carefully and follow all the instructions given for submitting online application form.
