How to resolve duplicate music files, folders and refresh music on MIUI stock music player?

duplicate music files song history issue miui redmi phone
Are there duplicate music files and folders on the MIUI Stock Music Player? Are the music files same even after removing the SD Card where the music files are actually stored? Then we have experienced the same problem.

Recently I encountered the following issues on MI Redmi Note 3 -

1) There are duplicate music folders with the same number of music files in each of the folders
2) Even after removing the SD Card, and rebooting, the MIUI stock music player has the same list of music files and folders. But then attempting to play, it displayed file is not supported or corrupted. The issue is due to cache data. And unfortunately, there is no options in the music player settings to refresh the music files and folders.

How to resolve the duplicate music files issue on MIUI Redmi Android Phone and how to refresh the song and folders?

MIUI 8 - How to disable promoted apps on folders on Xiaomi MI phones?

If you have upgraded your Xiaomi phone to MIUI 8, you might have noticed the "Promoted Apps" showing related apps below open folders. I find this quite irritating and so would you, I suppose. I do not understand why Xiaomi would include this feature anyway. It's like any other free Android app with promoted ads bundled in. Anyway, I suppose many users would be willing to remove this.

Follow this short video how to disable or remove the promoted apps from Xiaomi / Mi Phones:

Note that the "Promoted Apps" appear on each folder.

Resolved: Unable to transfer or copy files to SD Card issue on MI phone using ES File explorer

Issue Moving Files to SD Card issue on MI phone using ES File explorer

On Mi Phones you may encounter issues when attempting to transfer files from the phone storage to SD CARD using ES File Explorer. I did not do an extensive research but I confirm that this issues did not occur on MiUi version less than 7.5. If this problem exists, then we can't create new files and folders using the ES File Explorer options on the SD Card.

While attempting to create, copy-paste or move files, we normally get a prompt to allow permission to ES File Explorer to access SDCARD Root.
