duplicate music files song history issue miui redmi phone
Are there duplicate music files and folders on the MIUI Stock Music Player? Are the music files same even after removing the SD Card where the music files are actually stored? Then we have experienced the same problem.

Recently I encountered the following issues on MI Redmi Note 3 -

1) There are duplicate music folders with the same number of music files in each of the folders
2) Even after removing the SD Card, and rebooting, the MIUI stock music player has the same list of music files and folders. But then attempting to play, it displayed file is not supported or corrupted. The issue is due to cache data. And unfortunately, there is no options in the music player settings to refresh the music files and folders.

If you have upgraded your Xiaomi phone to MIUI 8, you might have noticed the "Promoted Apps" showing related apps below open folders. I find this quite irritating and so would you, I suppose. I do not understand why Xiaomi would include this feature anyway. It's like any other free Android app with promoted ads bundled in. Anyway, I suppose many users would be willing to remove this.

Follow this short video how to disable or remove the promoted apps from Xiaomi / Mi Phones:

Note that the "Promoted Apps" appear on each folder.

Resolved: Blogger Labels Not Displayed on Mobile Devices

blogger labels tags not appearing on mobile

If you are a regular Blogger user then you might have noticed that Blogger "Labels" are not displayed on Mobile devices by default. But why is it important? Labels or "tags" are a quick way to let users access related content on your website. It also reduces bounce-rate of the site if the user find the article interesting and want to continue reading related articles. Labels do appear on desktop browsers (unless disabled by the admin), but it does not appear on Blogger Mobile templates by default.

If you would like some website content to only show on mobile devices or not show on mobile devices, then following this post. You can do this using CSS. This allows a developer to easily control what sort of content should appear on mobile devices and what to display on desktops. It is also useful for Google Adsense publishers as Google by default allows only three ads on a particular page and if you want to control the positioning of Google Ads separately for desktops and mobile devices, then this method can be used to manage the display as per the device.

Resolved: Unable to transfer or copy files to SD Card issue on MI phone using ES File explorer

Issue Moving Files to SD Card issue on MI phone using ES File explorer

On Mi Phones you may encounter issues when attempting to transfer files from the phone storage to SD CARD using ES File Explorer. I did not do an extensive research but I confirm that this issues did not occur on MiUi version less than 7.5. If this problem exists, then we can't create new files and folders using the ES File Explorer options on the SD Card.

While attempting to create, copy-paste or move files, we normally get a prompt to allow permission to ES File Explorer to access SDCARD Root.

How to add Blogger widgets only for mobile template?

How to add Blogger widgets only for mobile templates
A situation may arise when we want to add widgets in Blogger template that should appear only on mobile templates and not on web browser templates. In that case, follow the steps below.

Scenario: We shall take the following example to explain how to add Blogger widgets only for mobile template. I added an "AddThis" mobile sharing toolbar that should appear on top. When it appears, it blocks the title of the Blog. So I wanted to push down the header region a bit lower so that the "AddThis" widget does not block the blog title from view. So, I thought of adding a simple HTML widget and write "Loading...", and place it above the "header" widget. That will push the header a bit lower and every one can be accommodated happily.

Usually, we can't add a widget in the header section. But you can do the following edit to enable and add a widget in the header region. In this exercise, we shall -

How To Disable Mobile Phone Front Camera Taking Mirror Images?

mobile phone camera taking mirror images
Did you notice that the image taken from the front camera off your mobile phone is mirrored or reversed? If that is the case, then all the selfies you took so far might have been saved as mirror images. Mirror Image - means that if you view the pictures taken, then you'd see that right is left and left is right just like looking in the mirror. If you had taken a selfie picture with texts in the background, then the text would be flipped horizontal, almost impossible to read. Since the image is flipper horizontally, it won't look realistic as the background too will be flipped. What is actually on the right appears on the left. That will be weird right? Those who have been to the same place where you took the selfie, they won't be easily convinced that statue in the background is on the left when it's actually on the right.

How to force Blogger to show desktop template on mobile devices?

When a Blogger blog is viewed on mobile devices, Blogger by default chooses a mobile template to display the blog. Now, mobile templates are great as the display is optimized for mobile devices' screen. The blog posts are nicely arranged to fit the mobile device's screen. So it is so far so good to view and navigate Blogger blogs on mobile devices.

But if a blogger does some customizations by adding widgets or adds advertisements on Blogger blog, then there are some issues. If a blogger opts to show Google Adsense automatically, then yes, some of those ads appear on top as a banner as well as at the bottom of the page. But if a blogger ads Google Adsense code or other advertising platform code in areas where he wants to display, it does not appear on mobile devices. This can be an issue. As we know, more and more internet users are on mobile devices, chances of those ads getting seen are minimized. If you can to let the blog appear as it appears on desktops to mobile devices as well, then you need to force Blogger to use desktop template.
