Selection and Recruitment Procedure

CISF ASI Steno selection process will consist of Physical Standard Test (PST), Written examination, Skill test and Medical examination.

Written Exam Pattern

Candidates who qualify the PST will be allowed to appear in OMR based Written exam. The question paper will be of 02 hours duration and will comprise of 100 objective type questions (100 Marks) based on General Intelligence, General Studies/ Elementary Science, General English or Hindi and Arithmetic. Qualifying marks will be 35% for General category and 33% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Ex-servicemen category.

Thereafter, candidates will be called for Skill Test on the basis of written exam cut off marks. After the Skill Test, category wise merit list will be prepared and the shortlisted candidates will be put through a Detailed Medical examination.

Final selection will be made from medical examination, according to merit and availability of vacancies.

Application fee - Rs.100/-

The fee can be remitted in the form of Postal Order drawn in favour of the concerned Zone Officer as mentioned in the recruitment notice. SC/ST, Female and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.

Selection and Recruitment Process - The selection process will consist of two phases as:

Phase 1 - Written examination

Phase 2 - Physical Standard Test (PST), Scrutiny/ checking of documents, Skill test and Medical examination

Written Exam Pattern

Candidates who qualify or pass the Phase-1 (Written exam) will be allowed to appear in Phase-2. Written Exam paper will be of 225 Marks of 2.30 hours duration consist of two parts as:

Part 1 (Objective type) - 200 Marks (Qualifying marks will be 80 Marks for Gen/OBC category and 70 Marks for SC/ST category out of 200 Marks)

Section A - Hindi Language or English Language (50 Marks)

Section B - General Intelligence (50 Marks)

Section C - Numerical Aptitude (50 Marks)

Section D - Clerical Aptitude (50 Marks)

Part 2 (Descriptive type) - 25 Marks (Essay writing-15 Marks, Letter writing-10 Marks)

For selection, category wise merit list will be prepared separately on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in Part-I and Part-II i.e. out of total 225 Marks.

Examination Fee

General/ OBC Category - Rs.100/-

The requisite fee can be remitted through State Bank of India Challan or Online payment through Net Banking/Credit and Debit cards of any Bank. SC/ST, Female and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from payment of examination fee.

How to Apply

Eligible and interested candidates may submit their applications for CRPF ASI Steno Recruitment 2016 Online through the website www.crpf.nic.in or www.crpfindia.com from 01 February 2016 to 01 March 2016. Before applying online, keep ready scanned image of their latest photograph and signature, for uploading while submitting the online application. After submitting the online application form, take printout of the system generated application form. The printout of online application form or any other document is not required to send to any office of CRPF.
