Selection Procedure
Candidates will be shortlisted for Services Selection Board (SSB) on the basis of Class 12th (PCM) percentage or JEE (Main) Rank 2016. Selection for SSB interview & SSB dates information will be intimated via Email/SMS to shortlisted candidates. Thereafter shortlisted candidates will have to undergo SSB interview of two Stages at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Coimbatore/ Visakhapatnam during Feb - Apr 2017. After medical examination, candidates who qualify in all respects will be selected for training (four years B.Tech Degree course at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala) in the order of an All India Merit List depending on the number of vacancies.

Written Exam Scheme/ Pattern
Total Duration for Written Exam - 01 Hour
Level - 10+2 (12th) Standard
SSR Written Exam question paper will be of 10+2 standard and will comprise of four sections i.e. English, Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge. The question paper will be of 01 hour duration and will consist of objective type questions. The question paper will be bilingual i.e. will be set both in English and Hindi. Candidates are required to pass in all sections and in aggregate.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) Examination (1st) 2016. Applications are invited for admission to the NDA (Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force) 137th Course and NA 99th Course commencing from 02nd January 2017. The NDA & NA 2016 (1) Exam for 375 vacancies will be conducted on 17th April 2016. National Defence Academy - 320 Vacancies
(Indian Army - 208, Indian Navy - 42, Indian Air Force - 70)
Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme) - 55 Vacancies
Age Limit - Candidates should be born between 02nd July, 1997 and 01st July, 2000.
Educational Qualification
NDA (Army Wing) - 12th Class pass or equivalent qualification from a State Education Board/ University
NDA (Air Force & Naval Wings) and NA - 12th Class pass or equivalent qualification with Physics and Mathematics from a State Education Board/ University
Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination i.e. 12th Class, may also apply for National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Exam 2016.
Fee can be remitted either by depositing the money using �Pay by Cash� mode in any Branch of SBI or by using SBI Net Banking/ Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit Card. SC/ST candidates/ Sons of JCOs/ NCOs/ Ors as specified in the advertisement are exempted from payment of fee.
