Age Limit - 18 to 25 years as on 01.01.2017
Educational Qualification - For ASI (Steno) & HC (Min) posts, candidate should be Intermediate (12th) exam pass from a Recognized Board.
ASI Steno Skill Test (On computer)
Dictation - 10 minutes @ 80 words per minute in English or Hindi
Transcription time - 50 minutes in English or 65 minutes in Hindi on computer
Head Constable Min Skill Test (On computer)
Time allowed - 10 Minutes
English Typing - Minimum speed of 35 words per minute (wpm) or
Hindi Typing - Minimum speed of 30 words per minute (wpm)
(35 wpm in English and 30 wpm in Hindi corresponding to 10500 key depressions per hour in English/ 9000 key depressions per hour in Hindi with average of 5 key depressions for each word)

Recruitment Procedure - The Selection/Recruitment Process will consist of written exam in the first phase and Physical Measurement Test (PST), Shorthand/Typing Speed Test, Documentation & Medical Examination in the second phase.
Examination Fee
Candidates are required to pay Rs. 100/- as examination fee in the form of a crossed Bank Draft/Postal Order in favour of concerned authority payable at respective Bank/Post Office. SC/ST, Ex-servicemen, Departmental (BSF) and female candidates are exempted from payment of examination fee.
